The death toll climbed as workers continued to pull bodies out of a burned casino in northern Mexico, where gunmen spread gasoline and ignited a fire that trapped and killed at least 52 gamblers and employees. Security camera footage shown at a news conference in Monterrey showed assailants getting out of vehicles and entering the Casino Royale. Moments later, they leave the premises as smoke and fire begins to come out of the building. It was the second time in three months that the Casino Royale had been targeted. Detectives in North East Leeds have released CCTV footage in an attempt to identify a number of people in connection with disorder in Chapeltown on Monday night. Between 11 and 11.30pm on 8th August a 26-year-old man was deliverying a takeaway to an address on Grange Terrace, when he was assaulted by a group of people before they stole the Nissan Micra he had been driving. Dramatic video emerged on Friday of a British shopkeeper fending off an attack by a knife-wielding robber who held the blade to his assistant’s throat. CCTV cameras in the Turkish city of Van have captured dramatic video footage of the moment Wednesday’s 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck. Security footage from violently shaking cameras showed people running out of buildings, lights going out and thick clouds of smoke enveloping streets in the provincial capital. The quake – which struck in the same Turkish province that was hit by a deadly temblor last month – has killed at least 10 people, including a Japanese aid worker. Stock market suspended trading and shops and businesses were shuttered in Hong Kong as devastating Typhoon Nesat was approaching. The disaster made its way across the South China Sea from the Philippines where it killed 35 people and left another 45 missing. Residents of Hong Kong hunkered down on Thursday as they rode out a powerful typhoon. A barge also ripped free from its moorings and slammed into a seawall on Hong Kong Island, forcing nearby apartments to be evacuated, news reports said. Nesat brought death and destruction when it tore through the Philippines earlier this week triggering some of the worst flooding in downtown Manila in decades, before blowing out toward southern China with winds of 75 mph.
