Remote viewing your cctv42 cctv system on the new iPhone 4. We are getting lots of calls asking if it’s still possible to see you cctv cameras when using the iPhone 4. The answer is yes, and so we put together this little video to show you. It’s exactly the same as using your old iPhone 2G or 3G. You can also remote access your cctv sstem on a blackberry, Nokia, LG, Motorola or any other phone which has a graphic (rather than a text) based browser. Full function remote access requires internet explorer but this cut down viewing platform which is included on all our DVR recorders offers a guaranteed ability to check your cctv providing you have an internet connection at both ends.
This video was made in response to a request we got from an enforcement agency looking to monitor illegal activity from remote locations. They had managed to secure local property owner’s permission to install a cctv system but were concerned the cctv cameras they currently used were too large, to the point where some owners were refusing permission. We came up with two solutions, both low cost within their product groups: We suggested a low cost PTZ cctv camera which could be controlled from the agency’s office using an internet connection and the virtual control panel of our DVR recorder. This featured a powerful 10 times optical zoom lens. We also suggested a low cost, almost throw away solution using a modified version of our B5 series standard body day / night cctv camera with a 9-22mm manual zoom lens. Both cameras were specified without infra red illumination (hence the modification of the B5 series camera). This is because number plate identification was important in obtaining a prosecution and the infra red illumination tends to glare out UK number plates which are highly reflective. All the products are available from our website at www.cctv42.co.uk
Blanket surveillance like CCTV systems, facial recognition software, telecommunication and vehicle tracking, the DNA database etc. etc. does nothing to stop criminals, terrorists, or ‘social problems’ and it doesn’t make anybody feel any safer.
If it doens’t solve any of the problems it was brought in for, what exactly is it there for?
A video showing our EYES internal PTZ (pan tilt and zoom) cctv camera system. Ideally suited for retail cctv systems installation is simple thanks to it’s 2 wire RS485 control. A pair of wires links all the cameras together and yet still allows individual cameras to be controlled. Pre-set target points and routes between them can be quickly and easily set up. High quality professional shop or retail environment cctv but at an affordable price. 4 cameras and a controller are available for under £1000 on our www.cctv42.co.uk website
Government of pakistan has ordered all the GAS and petrol pumps to implement CCTV cameras system to stop crime. Is it possible CCTV systems can stop a crime which is about to happen.
1. Do I need a contractors license to install wireless CCTV systems in residential homes. The reason why I ask is that I know you have to have a contractors license as an electrician because you are dealing with wires and electricity. I am only doing wireless systems, no drilling , no wires, no electricity.
2. If so, what kind of contractors license would I need?
