i just got a dvr system though mediacom and when i recored certain show and try to play it back it comes back with a black screen with the audio playing. when it does it i can’t fast forward or anything. some of my recording have worked but most have not.
please help.
i tried turning off the system and turning it back on and it didn’t work.
i also left it off all last night and nothing changed when i turned it back on

I have an HD DVR box from time warner cable it has 160gb hard drive in it, i have a 500gb hard drive sitting here at home brand new with nothing on it. can i replace the hard drive meaning can i just swap them out, or is there some sort of operating system on the exsisting hard drive that the cable box needs to run.?
