I’m thinking about volunteering to man the CCTV cameras at the police station on Friday and Saturday nights. Would the police be interested in my application if this was on it?

Poor quality due to dirty windscreen, better video’s to follow. A self contained in car CCTV system with recording of audio and video to SD card (max 16 hours using 32Gb card). Ideal for taxis, motorsport events or for evidence in the event of an accident. Manual or continuous recording modes with time and date stamp. Recordings can be played back on an optional screen connected to the recorder or any PC with USB or SD card reader. Very easy DIY installation, simply mount the camera to the screen using the supplied suction mount. Can be powered from the included cigarette lighter lead or using the included rechargeable battery.

I’m evaluating several daycares for my son and the one that I really like told me that they don’t archive the video footage that they take from their surveillance cameras. I think that it’s great that they provide a way for me to check in on my son when I’m at work, but I’m worried that if something were to happen I wouldn’t be able get a ‘copy’ of the incident.

Are daycares required by law to keep archive footage from their cameras?
